Agreed upon Action Research Plan

After talking with my site supervisor, I decided to use the Delphi Model strategy in my action research. I will apply the Delphi model by sending out surveys/questionnaires to the teachers about the issues/concerns of  not having PLC across grade level, then I will summarize the answers and present a rationale for the answers during a staff meeting.

Goal:
In what ways can a collaborative culture characterized by pre-k and kindergarten teachers communicating, understanding, and sharing expectations for all students be developed in my school? How does this collaborative culture affect students’ learning in kindergarten?

Action Steps(s): Person(s) Responsible: Timeline: Start/End Needed Resources Evaluation

  1. Very cool layout. Very soothing.
Teacher collaboration is very critical to providing education. Sharing student information is okay, but sharing ideas and inspirations and best practices is what keeps us "fresh" in our teaching.

  2. This Action Research would benefit the grade level greatly and can later be used in the other grade levels as well. A Collaborative culture would benefit every grade level. Teacher need to be reminded of this as sometime as teachers we seem to think we are Lone Rangers and it doesn't have to be that way. Great AR!

  3. I think that collaboration is a great way to go. The teachers need each other to know what is to come and know that they are not doing it all by themselves.

  4. If kinder teachers are made aware of the learning styles that the pre-k teachers have already assessed, it will greatly benefit them for instruction when those students move up to kinder. great topic!
