Week 2, 3,and 4 Web Conferences
During week 2, Dr. Abernathy discussed an overview of week 2 assignment. Students were asked to create a team of 3-5 students and collaborate in making a team Google Doc. Many students were unsure of how to create a team. Dr. Abernathy informed the students that they could use the web conferences and discussion board to recruit members to their groups. During week 3 web conference, Dr. Abernathy discussed the requirements needed to graduate and take the Principal Certification. Many students were unsure if they would need to complete the ILD and PDAS training in order to graduate. Students were informed that they did not need to have the trainings complete to graduate; however they could not take the state exam without the training. There were also some students who informed Dr. Abernathy that they were not interested in becoming administrators. Those students were encouraged to take the exam because they would eventually need the certification regardless. Week 4 conference began with an overview of the assignment. Afterwards, students began voicing their concerns about the web conferences with their professional coach. Many students informed Dr. Abernathy of incomplete web conferences with their professional coach. Dr. Abernathy informed the students to send an email so that she could check on their situation. We were also informed that the Internship activities needed to be complete before our last course.Throughout the web conferences, many issues were brought up and many were resolved. I better understand the requirements that I need to complete the program.
