Week
5 Reflection
The Instructional Leadership
course has introduced me to so many things that I was not aware of. Throughout
this course, I have learned about many Web 2.0 tools to apply in the classroom.
What I am most excited about is going back to my campus and training my fellow colleagues on how to create Google
Documents and share them with fellow teachers. I think that this would be a
great tool for teachers to use to discuss instructional strategies and offer
ideas and suggestions. As a future administrator, the information gained in this
course will help me to facilitate the staff in using many different resources
to help meet the needs of all students. My progress with my Campus-Supervised Internship is going a little better. At first, I started off slow due to some
medical issues with my mentor, and a new Vice-Principal. However, I am starting
to complete many of the Internship activities. I have attended almost any
meeting that I am allowed to attend, and served on every committee that I could
join. My Action Research Project is not going as well as I would like. Many of
my fellow colleagues feel that they do not have the time to participate in
another Professional Learning Committee because they have so much on their
plate already. Although I have ran into a few stumbling blocks, I feel that the
Action Research Project is coming along and hopefully I can complete it soon.
